How does video monitoring work?

We will check compatibility

Before Forus starts to provide video monitoring services, we will inspect your devices to make sure that these would be compatible with the video surveillance platform of our alarm response centre. Sometimes, a small investment to replace a recording device or a server is needed for establishing a connection.

Mapping the devices

To simplify response to alarms, we will ask you for location diagrams of sensors and cameras. We will add these to our program so our operators would know exactly where a sensor that triggered an alarm is located, its closest camera, and other important information about the premises. If you do not have the necessary diagrams, we will prepare them ourselves.

We will agree on the rules

We will agree on the set of circumstances that are considered an emergency, on the rules for various circumstances, conditions for dispatching a patrol unit, situations when your or your contact person's permission is needed, etc.

We will monitor the site through a video link

Your premises will be connected to the Forus' alarm response centre 24/7. In case of an alarm, our operator will check the camera feed and take action to solve the situation or dispatch a patrol unit for additional inspection according to the agreed rules.
