On 2021, the amendment to the Fire Safety Act entered into force

A legal obligation on certain types of buildings.
To ensure the safety of your people and property.
Fast response in case of a fire because the alarm is sent directly to the Emergency Response Centre.
The Fire Safety Act and the supplementary regulation of the Minister of the Interior have established buildings where it is obligatory to install an automatic fire alarm system and which must send automatic notifications of fires directly to the Emergency Response Centre. To be able to send automatic notifications, AFAS needs to be fitted with special devices which must be connected to the alarm response centre of a security company.
Before ordering a fire alarm transmission service, you need to a submit a respective application to the Rescue Board. The application is approved within 90 days; during this time, 60 days is needed for testing the incidence of fire alarms in the fire alarm system. In case of any deficiencies, the applicant is informed of reasons for denying the application.
After approving the application, you must order the service from a company that has the necessary means and permits to provide this service, such as Forus.
The building must have an internet connection, the network devices require backup power, and the AFAS device needs power supply to be able to connect the devices quickly. The alarm transmission devices can be bought or rented. In case of the latter, we will conclude an agreement with a term of two years and a rental fee is added to the monthly fee of the service.
We check the connection constantly. In case of an alarm, our alarm response centre accepts the signal and forwards it automatically to the Emergency Response Centre.
As a minimum, the devices need maintenance every three years to function without a glitch. You can order maintenance from the specialists of Forus. If the AFAS system of a building is maintained by Forus, we will provide one free maintenance round of alarm transmission equipment per three years.
