Modern technical equipment is very efficient, but nothing beats the human eye. Manned surveillance means that our security guard will be present on your site or at your event pursuant to the schedule agreed on.

The main tasks of a security guard are foreseeing different risk situations and responding promptly in a crisis situation. The role of a security guard as a customer attendant is also becoming more and more important nowadays.
Security guards are often supported by technical surveillance. This provides additional security for building owners – their security guards have ‘extra eyes’ and their sites are more protected.

We have examples from our practice of a security guard helping to catch thieves in a store, saving a shopping centre from a flood thanks to their ability to respond promptly, and acting quickly in the event of any risk. Technical surveillance equipment does not allow for such a rapid response. The security guard also has round-the-clock contact with the control centre.

Depending on the site, the security guard will spend a lot of time in your building. People will remember them and the security guard will become a so-called ‘representative’, who can assist the administrator and ensure smooth customer service, if necessary.

How do I know how many security guards I need for a site?
Do not worry about this. We will visit the location, inspect the building, and advise you. We have experience with different types of buildings and we can provide advice.
We always consider the wishes of you as the customer. We will advise you on which service will suit you best and when it would be reasonable to install technical surveillance in addition to manned guard.
What is included in the equipment of a security guard?
All Forus security guards wear uniforms with our logos and carry two-way radios. Special equipment issued to security guards also includes handcuffs, pepper spray, and a truncheon. In addition, a specially trained security operative can be armed.
How is the price of manned guard calculated?
All sites and events are different. The price depends on the area, location, and peculiarities of the site or event, the number of security guards, the duration of the security services, the need for the patrol service, the tasks required from security staff, customer expectations, the equipment of the security staff, and the duration of the contract.
What kind of training do the security operatives of Forus have?
All Forus security guards who have been employed in the security sector for more than four months have an occupational qualification certificate, have completed a 50-hour basic training, and can provide first aid. Security guards must pass an examination of the Estonian Security Association (Eesti Turvaettevõtete Liit) to earn the certificate. All security operatives also complete 16 hours of further training annually. Depending on the role, the employer provides additional training.

What does event security consist of?
We offer event security across Estonia. Our security guards perform the following tasks, depending on the type of the event and the wishes of the customer: ensuring safety and security, checking tickets and making security checks, guiding visitors, ensuring safety, surveillance of the technology, ensuring public order, guarding different access points, traffic management and parking arrangement, and lifeguard services, if the event involves a body of water.
Construction site surveillance – when should you involve a security guard?
Often, construction equipment is left on site to continue work the next day. In this case, it is best to involve manned guard in addition to technical surveillance. Our security guard will keep an eye on your property and respond if there is a suspected theft or risk of theft.
If the client would like, we can agree on additional tasks for the security personnel. For example, they can accept deliveries at the site, lock gates, patrol at night, etc.
